Purpose
The Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Services (DBHDS) is seeking Request for Proposals from local Community Service Boards (CSB’s) to develop alternatives to inpatient competency restoration and related jail-based or community-based services that aim to reduce the number of forensic admissions entering the state hospitals in Virginia.

The timeline for funding notification and awards are as follows:
June 17, 2025 Notice of Funding
July 31, 2025 Application Deadline (by COB 5:00pm) – Only through WebGrants. No email applications will be considered.
August 15, 2025 Notice of Awards
